Tessa, a rescue dog, found an abandoned Calico kitten meowing in the bushes. The kitten, named Circe, became a member of the family and best friend to Tessa. Circe grew up to imitate Tessa’s behavior, becoming more like a dog than like a cat in her play habits. The owner said:
“Tessa is very charismatic. She loves people and she has this beautiful energy about her. She loves to go out and see new things; she gets bored very easily, so she loves to experience things.”
Circe began to play much as a dog would. She would rough house with Tessa in much the same way two dogs would interact together. The owner said of Circe:
“Circe plays a lot like a dog. She will grab thing around the house and put them in her mouth, and you can throw things to her, and she’ll catch it in her mouth. She also rough houses a lot and the way they play is very dog-like; it’s not the typical way a cat plays with a dog.”
Now Tessa and Circe do everything together. The owner concluded:
“I’ve always said the best you can do for your animals is figure out their personalities and what they truly enjoy and just try to make their life the best life you can possibly give them.”
