Doha: Karolina Muchova Wins Women’s Title

Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic defeated Canada’s Victoria Mboko 6-4, 7-5 to capture the women’s title in Doha, Qatar. It is her second career title and her first Master’s 1000-level victory. Muchova won her first title in Seoul in 2019. Prior to her win in Doha, Muchova had a series of runner-up finishes, losing at the French Open and Cincinnati in 2023 and in Beijing in 2024. She said, “It has been a while since I won a tournament, so it’s nice to get that feeling again.”

Runner-up Victoria Mboko, after losing the first set, went up 4-2 in the second and had a chance to level the match. However, Muchova came back to win the match in straight sets. Muchova moves up to number 11 in the world, while Mboko moves into the top ten. 

Dallas: Ben Shelton Wins All-American Final Over Taylor Fritz

Ben Shelton came back from a set down to defeat fellow American Taylor Fritz 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, saving three championship points in the process. Fritz took the first set easily and was leading in the second set. With the score level at 3-3, Shelton broke Fritz and won the next three games, sending the match into a deciding third set. He was down 4-5 in the third set, when he saved two championship points. He saved an additional point on his serve to capture his fourth career title.

Buenos Aires: Francisco Cerundolo Wins First Title on Home Soil

Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina defeated Italy’s Luciano Darderi in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. It was a dream come true for Cerundolo, who said he always wanted to win his hometown tournament. After losing in 2021 to Albert Ramos-Vinolas of Spain and in 2025 to Joao, but Fonseca of Brazil, he finally won in Buenos Aires. 

The first set was competitive, but Cerundolo prevailed 6-4. The second set featured three consecutive breaks of serve before Cerundolo went on to take the set decisively 6-2. Cerundolo’s first win in Buenos Aires is the fourth title of his career.

Rotterdam: Alex De Minaur Wins Rotterdam Title

Alex De Minaur of Australia defeated Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets 6-3,  6-2 to capture the Rotterdam title. He won the title on his third try, having previously lost to Jannik Sinner in 2024 and Carlos Alcaraz in 2025. At the trophy ceremony, De Minaur said,

“We’ve finally clinched the title. But really…I’m thrilled to have finally won it. It’s one of my favorite tournaments on the calendar. I love coming back to Rotterdam. I play my best tennis and I’m finally rewarded. A huge thank you to this incredible crowd that makes me feel right at home.”
