Kittens to be Named for Their Rescuers

Six little kittens found by rescuers during a community effort to pick up litter will be named for their rescuers. The rescuers, known as the Wombles Group, who come from the Peterborough Cat Rescue in England, say the kittens are doing well. Vicki Heyden, who fosters kittens for the organization, said the six kittens (four girls, two boys) will be named for their rescuers: Harry, Steve, Emma, Amy, Lisa and Ariana. 

The Wombles Group was clearing litter from Bishops Road when they found the kittens. A member of the group, Harry Machin, said: It was certainly the most unusual litter we have found for quite a while.” Vicki Heyden said she came up with the idea of naming the kittens after their rescuers because she thought it would be nice to give the Wombles Group an update on how they were doing.
