Jasmine Paolini of Italy won the Women’s Dubai Duty Free Tournament, defeating Russia’s Anna Kalinskaya 4-6, 7-5.7-5 to capture her second WTA title. Paolini defeated strong competition on her way to victory, including three top ten players. She defeated Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia in the third round, American Coco Gauff in the quarterfinals and Iga Swiatek of Poland in the semifinals.

Kalinskaya was serving for the match when Paolini broke her serve. The Italian then held her own serve and broke Kalinskaya’s once more to secure the victory. Paolini won her first title in 2021 but lost her next three finals. Following her victory in Dubai, Paolini will advance into the top fifteen in the WTA rankings.
